Thermalite ceramic fiber material is a
blend of high purity alumina silica ceramic fibers, combining
both organic and inorganic binders for handling strength
and shape integrity at high working temperatures. It resists
oxidation, reduction, and attack from most corrosives. Thermalite
vacuum-formed shapes can be surface treated on one or both
sides, forming an inorganic protective shell for extra strength,
or impregnated throughout the entire shape for an almost
rock hard density making them the strongest of all vacuum
formed products.
Custom shapes and special applications as well as
inorganic formulations are available including Thermalite
flexible wet
blankets molded to almost any surface configuration.
